Leica Geosystems Everton FC | Case Study Film
Oatey had the privilege of collaborating with Leica Geosystems, a renowned provider of precision measurement and geomatics technology, on a groundbreaking project with Everton Football Club and Laing O’Rourke.
Our goal was to produce a film that showcased Leica’s integral role in the construction of Everton’s new £550 million stadium. We aimed to highlight how Leica’s technology and products helped Laing O’Rourke achieve enhanced efficiency in building this large-scale project.
The Project
With a one-day timeframe for shooting, our team embarked on a 12-hour filming expedition in Liverpool, where the stadium is being built. Despite the tight schedule, we efficiently planned and coordinated our efforts to capture all the essential elements of the project.
Utilising state-of-the-art filming techniques, including the use of FPV drone technology, we were able to showcase the scale and grandeur of the stadium construction. This innovative approach provided viewers with a unique and immersive experience, emphasising Leica’s contribution to the project.
Throughout the collaboration, Oatey worked closely with Leica Geosystems, Everton Football Club, and Laing O’Rourke, fostering a strong relationship built on trust. We felt extremely proud to be entrusted with the responsibility of producing this content, recognising the confidence our clients had in our capabilities and expertise.
The Result
The film was subsequently showcased at Hexagon Live, the annual conference organised by Leica’s parent company, in Las Vegas. This premiere provided an international platform for Everton Football Club, Laing O’Rourke, and Leica Geosystems to exhibit their joint achievements and share the success story with a global audience. While we were not physically present at the event, we were thrilled to have our work featured and celebrated at such a prestigious gathering.
