Man Down UK | Campaign Film

We were commissioned by Man Down UK to create a campaign film focused on men’s mental health and the impact struggles can have on those around us.

Rather than relying on statistics or awareness messaging, we wanted to tell a deeply human story.

The aim was simple. Create a film that would encourage reflection, spark conversation and leave a lasting emotional impact.

The Project

The challenge wasn’t simply creating an emotional film. It was finding a way to communicate a difficult subject with honesty, care and restraint.

We wanted audiences to feel the message, without ever feeling like they were being told what to think.

A lot of time was spent in pre-production shaping the story. Working closely with Man Down and Ben Battell at Salt & Gorse Ltd, we carefully storyboarded every scene.

Each moment was considered. Every transition had a purpose.

Together, we developed a campaign designed to connect emotionally and encourage conversation.

From the performances and locations to the cinematography, pacing and soundtrack, every creative decision was built around subtlety.

The film relies on the small moments that often say the most.

The Result

The final film became far more than a campaign asset.

It helped support the incredible work Man Down continues to do across the UK, creating opportunities for people to connect and find support.

More importantly, it encouraged people to stop, reflect and start conversations that might not otherwise happen.

It was a privilege to help tell such an important story and a project we’re incredibly proud to have been part of.
